FL STATE POTA TARC Challenge

The 2024 annual Florida State Parks on the Air (FLSPOTA 2024) will take place April 6-7, 2024 throughout Florida’s beautiful state parks. There are a few rule or category updates from last year. Full text of the rules is available here. Please send your activation plans to activations@flspota.org so you can be listed on the website’s activation list! Contest operating times are 10 am to 6 pm eastern time each day. Don’t forget that ONLY Florida State Parks can be activated for this contest. A list of park locations and contact information can be found at https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails.

For 2024 TARC will have an internal club member challenge to operate from as many park locations as possible during the event. By my count there are over a dozen within easy driving distance of Sarasota County residents. Whoever activates (10 contacts) the most parks will win. In the case of a tie, the total number of logged QSOs from all locations during the event will determine a winner. What do you win? BRAGGING RIGHTS! Since the contest rules assign multipliers for each park activated, your participation in this challenge should greatly increase your contest score. Submit your contest logs to the national POTA website and the FLSTATE POTA website for credit/scoring. Also send your log to me and in the sending email state the number of parks activated and your total number of QSOs.
