Ham Radio Day at the Library

The Tamiami ARC (TARC), Venice, FL is promoting a “Library Day” at the local public library to make the community aware of amateur radio in general and the addition of 15 new voumes of ham radio related books into the library system. TARC was awarded a $1400 grant from the ARRL Foundation this summer to purchase and make available these new books. During the month of August, TARC also stocked a ham radio display in the library lobby to make the community more aware of ham radio and its many benefits for public service and as a hobby.
