Shark’s Tooth Festival

TARC will operate Special Event Station K4S from the festival on all 3 days of the event. This is a great opportunity for new hams to get some great HF operating experience in a fun and low pressure environment. We setup our equipment on Friday morning and then operate during the festivals open hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the festival.

Venice, Florida in Sarasota County has been named the “Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World” because of the millions of shark teeth that wash up on our sandy white beaches. Each year the Shark’s Tooth Festival highlights fossil collectors from across the southeast who display and sell shark’s teeth and other prehistoric fossils, and more than 100 artists offer their original work. Join us for a fun event with an awesome lineup of live music, delicious food and vendors – all supporting Special Olympics Florida – Sarasota County.
