Megalodon Race Support

Saturday and Sunday mornings March 7th and 8th mark the Shark Tooth 10k and Shark Fin 5k road races take place in Venice. Both races will be held at the airport Festival Grounds in Venice. TARC has provided supplemental communications and spotters around the course for many years now. The time frame would be about 6AM to about 10AM or so on each day.

Details about the race route(s) will be published soon as well as details about the hand held radios we will be using. Typically a “race control” station is setup at the start/finish line and TARC volunteers man up to 11 route monitoring stations along the race course. This is always a fun event with good music and food available at the finish line. Only a Technician Class license is required, we have some DMR HTs available to loan out, and training is available.
