Don Watson – K9DDO July 2025

Don Watson K9DDO was a member of TARC until 2020 and he was a long time member of the Sarasota ARC. Don and Hans Napfel (SK) WB2ZZB would come down together from Sarasota.  Hans was retired from Fairchild and was a major player in development of the “black box” flight recorders. Hans prepared many QCWA and TARC programs When Hans died in 2020, Don dropped out of TARC as he no longer had a reason to come down to Venice any more.

Through QCWA and TARC, Don had many friends among the TARC membership. His many friends from TARC bid him farewell right after his internment at the Sarasota National Cemetery on July 24th with a nice luncheon at the Disabled American Veterans hall in Sarasota.
