Club Remote HF Station
The club maintains an ICOM-7300 HF transceiver as a remote access station for club members to use. It is co-located with our club repeaters on Paul Morris Dr. in Englewood and it has an inverted V OCF multi-band antenna with its apex at 125 feet on the tower. We have created a special interest group (SIG) to manage and operate the site on groups.io. Visit the SIG and request a subscription to the sub-group: https://tarc-venicefl.groups.io/g/HF-RemoteStation
Technician Class licensees can use the station on 10 meters between 28.300 and 28.500 MHz USB phone. This means you could participate in the club’s Thursday night 10 meter chat net on 28.450 MHz which begins immediately following the 2 meter chat net on the 146.805 MHz repeater.
