The club operates three chat nets and one traders net each week as follows:

  • The TARC Club Tuesday Digital Net is held at 7:30 pm on DMR “private” Talk Group – 310442 <FULL DETAILS>. This DMR repeater operates on 444.100 MHz (+), color code 1. Many club members are seasonal residents in Venice and make use of this DMR chat net to keep in touch with local events while “up north” for the summer.
  • The TARC Club Thursday Analog Net is held at 7:30 pm on 146.805 MHz (-) PL 100. This repeater supports:
    Echo Link Node: 513309 (W4AC-R) is the new link to use (10/1/20)
  • There is a 10 meter chat net on 28.460 MHz SSB on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm. Technician Class licensees can use their HF rigs to participate.
  • The Tamiami Trade Show net is hosted by club member Tom KE4RXM Every Tuesday Evening at 8:00 pm on the W4AC Repeater 146.805mhz (-) PL 100.00 Echo Link Node: 513309 (W4AC-R)

Disaster Amateur Radio Network (DARN)

DARN is a UHF/VHF Radio Network that provides emergency and back up communications for the Disaster Response Teams of Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, which serves the communities that make up the ten counties of South West Florida. The DARN NET meets every 2nd Monday of the month starting at 11 am on DARN Radio Channel (1) 145.430 MHz (-) PL 100. <more>

Englewood Amateur Radio Society (EARS)

The club operates a chat net at 7:00 pm on Tuesdays using the K8ONV repeater at the Charlotte County Sports Complex. 146.865 MHz (-), PL 136.5. This repeater supports Echo Link Node: 966797.

Sarasota Emergency Radio Club (SERC)

The club operates a chat net at 7:00 pm on Wednesday using the N4SER repeater 146.730 MHz (-), PL 100. This repeater supports Echo Link Node 685113. Call: KM4SRM-R.

The club also operates a WinLink gateway (N4SER-10), and a packet digipeter (WC4EM and N4SER) on 144.950 MHz.

Sarasota Amateur Radio Emergency Services (SRQARES)

This is a volunteer program created to provide communications support for Sarasota County.  It is a formal ARRL chartered ARES group organized under the ARRL West Central Florida (WCF) Section. The net is held every Thursday at 7:00PM.

  • Primary: SAR-1 (north county) and SAR-2 (south county) linked repeaters — 146.730 – PL100
    and 145.130 – PL100
